- Structural bioactive thermoplastic: A new orthobiologic
- Can be compounded for any PEEK implant
- Antimicrobial and osteoconductive properties
- Can be applied to ANY METAL orthopedic implant through a proprietary encapsulation process (as seen on the hip stem)
Silver Zeolite
- A ceramic silicate that releases ions through an ionic exchange mechanism
- Can be loaded with a variety of cations (for our purposes)
- Silver (Ag) – Antimicrobial applications
- Zinc (Zn) – rhBMP-2 up-regulation
- Copper (Cu) – Improved angiogenesis and early scaffold construction
PEEK
- A well known material providing structure and support
- Elastic properties that mimic natural bone
- Widely used in orthopedic and spinal reconstruction
